Just to start, this is not a rumor or has not been discussed at all by Darryl Sutter and Bryan Murray. This is something I thought of and wanted to see if you guys liked it.
To Calgary: Dany Heatley, Filip Kuba
To Ottawa: Dion Phaneuf, Daymond Langkow
How would you like that trade? I am sure Phaneuf is not on the trading block but just for talking purposes...

I would actually like to trade to obtain Cheechoo since he plays a similar game to Heatley (the shooter) and im sure he would do fine with spezza as hes back from his injury. If he has low trade value i would go for him.
look to move him against after he starts scoring as usual and GM see the talent that Heatley posesses

Phaneuf is exactly what our team needs; he will be a top-5 dman in the league for the next ten years, while Langkow would be an excellent 2nd-line centre -- something we've been missing for...well...ever.
But, unfortunately, why would Calgary want a soft and lazy 5th or 6th defencemen and a forward with a questionable (to say the least) attitude?
