Dany Heatley, Jason Spezza, Nick Foligno, Daniel Alfredsson, and Antoine Vermette deposited a goal each and Brian Elliott stymied the Flying Flyers for 35 saves as the Sens got their first 3-game winning streak of the season with the 5-2 victory.

The same things done last night were done this night, and surprise surprise it worked again. Both primary scoring and secondary scoring were on fire tonight and guys while Filip Kuba, Brendan Bell, Brian Lee, and Chris Phillips helped the rush and got an assist each also. Anton Volchenkov and Jason Smith stepped up defensively tonight, blocking shots and making sure Ells was comfortable all game.

Speaking of Brian Elliott, he was amazing tonight. He made some really nice saves, especially in the 2nd period which was highlighted by an enormous glove save on the slick goal scoring maching called Jeff Carter. I think he's reacted to criticism from media about his rebound control very well and was controlling all of those shots he faced. Maybe Martin Gerber should learn a trick or two from the youngster.

An added good aspect tonight was the guys didn't get too many penalities, and when they did, the penalty killers looked nothing but great. Chris Kelly, I don't know what we could do without you.

As the Sens played, I got a text saying Murray is trying to make a deal but teams are hesitant to pull the trigger, such as the Habitants of Montreal. Even though their bloated fans are crying "Trade", Bob Gainey is being cautious.

Thanks For Reading!!!
