From a first period slump attack, to a furious ousting by the Senators, this easily was the best Sens' game so far this year, and maybe the best game in the NHL. It had it all. Goals, Hits, Blocked Shots, a Fight in which Nick Foligno had a new rag doll, and an inspiring comeback. Even though the game wasn't on Canadian TV(lucky me I have Centre Ice), it was an amazing game. Brian Lee, Antoine Vermette, Chris Phillips, Daniel Alfredsson, and Dany Heatley deposited a goal each to complete the comeback.

Overall, there were some mistakes made in the game by the Sens, and fortunately all of them were in the 1st. The team is mroe aggressive and more balanced under Cory Clouston. Jason Spezza had his chances, unfortunately, he was sideswiped by a few Wild defensemen. Jarkko Ruutu made sure he got under the Wild's skin, and did he ever. Clutterbuck looked real pissed off after Ruutu gave him one of his patented hug-bear moves. Mike Fisher played a great game, and even Nick Foligno played hard and even got into a fight, even though it would be more considered as one guy chewing at another.

As the Wild commentators said, the Sens' defense would give up without a fight. Anton Volchenkov played great on the defensive side. Brendan Bell got some nice shots on net, and Filip Kuba really played smoothly and Clouston is giving him more opportunities with the puck, and it's paying off.

Another statistical note tonight. This was the first game this season where all 4 goalies who dressed up for the game saw the sheet of ice during the game. I'm a little puzzled at Lemaire's decision though to put Harding in. Alex Auld finally got that elusive 10th win of his, and finally got that shutout he deserved. He made some important saves in the 3rd. Brian Elliott let a weak one by Pierre Marc-Bouchard, but you can't really blame him for the other 2. I think he'll get back to form, but you would think Clouston would go with Auld Monday against Nashville.

Well, the game worked out pretty well, and I think that Clouston has really turned this team around. Bryan Murray might have found another Mike Babcock. I'll be back tomorrow with some rumors.

Thanks For Reading!!!
