Ron Wilson blasted another blasphemy of his again today. Every day I hate that guy more and more. Otherwise, all I say to Ron is, Welcome To The Jungle. The Jungle of Trade Deadline.

As Wednesday approaches, there are more wacky rumors coming across to me. I was told today that there were many, many calls about Dany Heatley's services, and even was told Philadelphia asked about him and possible offered a package including highly-touted prospect James Van Riemsdyk. How about that Sens fans? Even Anton Volchenkov was a subject for 2 teams, supposedly Buffalo was interested in him but Bryan Murray won't trade him right now. Jason Smith is a possible target for teams like the Calgary Flames.

However, this rumor isn't crazy. Filip Kuba is close to being traded to Columbus for a 1st-2nd round pick and a prospect. Scott Howson was at the Leafs-Sens game so it's not very surprising. Chris Neil's sweepstakes are close to being done, with the Red Wings pulling away right now. In return Ken Holland would send a third round pick. How about that Sens fans?

Talking about possible goalie targets, Scott Clemmensen is being pursued by the Sens. Right now I've only heard Antoine Vermette and Kirill Lyamin going back to the Devils. Bob McKenzie bnoted today on Off The Record that the Sens had interest in Pascal LeClaire, and even though I think it could happen, I hope it won't. Pascal isn't a No.1 goaltender. Manny Fernandez is also on the market but it looks like he might not be too expensive for the Sens to pursue.

Should be an interesting couple of the days for Les Senateurs.
