There was some good stuff tonight, and of course some bad stuff. The good stuff was that Brian Elliott was great tonight, making 29 saves on 31 shots. As Gary Galley stated in the 1st period, Elliott is a young Brodeur. He was making key saves for his club and I'll bet 20 bucks that if Auld or Gerber were in it would have been 5-0. Secondly, defensive awareness is starting to creep back into this team. Both Chris Phillips and Filip Kuba were solid tonight, especially Kuba who is a real big force on that Power Play.

To the bad stuff. We can't score. We had 33 chances to get on the board tonight, and none of them got through King Henrik. Dany Heatley has been terrible since the game in Philly. Our secondary scoring is starting to put pucks to the net, but not in it. Mike Fisher had, once again, a bounty of chances.

I fully expect Elliott to get the start on Tuesday against the Hurricanes. I mean, seeing how he was the only player tonight that actually wanted to win the game. I spoke to someone right before the game that Gerber was unhappy with the healthy scratch tonight, and Hartsburg will have to decide to send him down to the minors or not. Frankly, why not?

Thanks For Reading!!!
