Honestly, that was the worst game this season. Only one player showed up tonight and that was Jesse Winchester. He scored the lone goal for the Sens, and actually won those battles on the boards, something he always does. Bravo, Winchie. You're excused from the Sens Buzz doghouse. But for the others...

What the bleep was going on tonight? Chris Phillips and Anton Volchenkov, where were you when Ovechkin scored 2 goals, that's right 2 goals on our supposed top defensive pairing. Filip Kuba! I love my man but you played terrible tonight. You're a good offensive defenseman with a big stature but you need to get more physical. Alexandre Picard, the same. Jason Smith, blocked a couple of shots, but again was slow with the Washington offense. Christoph Schubert was brutal tonight is his own zone. He couldn't keep the puck away from the Caps. Are you listening, Mr. Murray?

The Big 3 were out of shape tonight. It looked like they were fatigued, and it was with right reason, because we can't just depend on them forever. Fisher and Vermette, plenty of chances, and once again no goals to show for it. Chris Kelly was very--very slow tonight. Jarkko Ruutu, Chris Neil, and Cody Bass weren't being bitches as they usually are. Nick Foligno got an assist on Winchie's goal, but then he wasn't helping on defense. And Shean Donovan tried to play, but couldn't forecheck as hard as he wanted to.

I'm sorry Alex Auld, you've been great this year and deserve all the praise you can get, but this was your worst game this season. He did make some saves, but lettting some woozy and early goals really set the tone for this game. Let's hope he rebounds back and our players actually start helping him.

I may be called a pessimist for this, but I'm really angry and our General Manager, Bryan Murray. I've been hearing rumours all week about him getting Jay Bouwmeester and David Booth in a package, or making an offer to get both Dustin Penner and Erik Cole from Oil Country. And no, nothing happens. I believe in waking up your players by shaking things up, and in a big way. This team needs scoring, either from defense or offense, because Antoine Vermette has really been awful this season. If Bryan Murray won't do anything, then I think he should re-sign because we need a GM with the balls to pull off a significant trade.

So I guess it's back to drawing board for Craig Hartsburg, and let's hope they'll be ready for tomorrow when they face the league-worst Tampa Bay Lightning.

Thanks For Reading!!!
