Bryan Murray isn't happy. Craig Hartsburg isn't happy. Anyone who says they are on short leash is a piece of windbag. None of this is their fault. The reason why the Ottawa Senators, who were 3 games away from winning the Stanley Cup, are in the midst of a 6 game losing streak, is because this team has no secondary scoring. This team has relied way too much on the Pizza line and when things go bad, Spezza and Heatley are always the whipping boys. Why not
Antoine Vermette? He is supposed to be our secondary scorer, he is supposed to be our Alex Burrows, our Nikolai Zherdev, our David Booth. So?

I am hearing that Bryan Murray is very close to pulling the trigger on a deal that would send Antoine Vermette and Christoph Schubert for Mattias Ohlund and Alex Burrows. Personally, I like this deal.

Tomorrow will see the debut of the new kick-ass third jerseys and personally, I hope we get the win in the new duds. The lines will be the same. Alex Auld will start once again. Not to be pessimistic, but I think Auld is tired. We need to give him a short 2-game break. But I can understand the reasoning of keeping Auld.

I predict a 5-4 OT win(Bass, Zubov, Spezza, Heatley, Ruutu for Sens; Voros, Betts, Naslund, Zherdev for Rangers) with a high scoring affair and chippy one.

Thanks For Reading and Enjoy The Game Tomorrow Morning!
