With Jay Bouwmeester's asking price becoming too high coupled with the possibility that the Cats might keep him for their playoff run, Filip Kuba is gauging interest from many teams around the NHL. With the season pretty much over for Bryan Murray and his crew, the sale sign is on Filip Kuba.

Most teams asking for him are playoff contenders and in some cases, Stanley Cup contenders. The team that has called from the beginning are the Montreal Canadiens, even though Murray might be reluctant to deal him to a divisional rival. Boston and Phoenix are in the thick of things. Carolina, Calgary, and Buffalo are not far behind while Columbus could be a darkhorse. Here are the the possible trades, some I heard, some I theorized, from each team.

Kuba to Montreal for Pavel Valetenko + Guillame Latendresse
Kuba to Boston for Matt Hunwick + 3rd round pick
Kuba to Phoenix for Zbynek Michalek + 5th round pick
Kuba to Carolina for Zac Dalpe + 5th round pick
Kuba to Calgary for John Armstrong
Kuba to Buffalo for Clarke MacArthur

There have been rumblings that the Kings and Sens are tlaking blockbuster. There were rumors last summer and those died down but it looks like the Kings are asking for Jason Spezza. right now it's just preliminary and it probably won't happen, but I've heard in return the Sens would get Patrick O'Sullivan, a mid-level prospect, and a mid-draft pick.

Thanks For Reading!!!
