I just got a text from a someone who says Jay Bouwmeester has given the Panthers management a list of teams he would be willing to be traded to. And all I know is that the Ottawa Senators are not on the list. For all of you who are mad at Jay-Bo, it's not his fault. Why would he want to go to a team that is doing worse than his team? Right now, the focus point of Bryan Murray is to start building up the future, and if he does have a job by the off-season, he will try to go the Philadelphia route. I don't know about you guys, but it seems Murray has given up on the season. Not something Eugene Melnyk should take too kindly.

I am also told Bryan Murray is very close to completing a deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and it's really close that it may be done already. I'm not going to jump to conclusions because everything is out of hand these days, but it's come to the point where the Sens are desperate. If this deal were done, going the Jackets' way would be Antoine Vermette or a package of Vermette and Mike Fisher.

If only Antoine Vermette is traded to the Jackets, in return the Sens would get Manny Malhotra and a 5th round pick in the 09 draft
